Location

We are located approximately 60 miles north of Portland and 125 miles south of Seattle.  We are happy to assist with ride-sharing to retreats.  For individuals flying in from out-of-town, there is door-to-door shuttle service available from Portland International Airport.

Directions to Cloud Mountain: (allow extra time on Friday afternoon).

From Seattle: South on I-5, approximately 2 1/2 hrs. Take Exit 59 (Vader-Ryderwood). At the end of  the ramp is a stop sign at the intersection with Hwy 506. At the stop sign, turn left onto Hwy 506 (westbound) and travel 3 winding miles. There is a sign marking the intersection of South Military Road/West Side Highway. Turn left (south) on West Side Highway. (If you enter the town of Vader, you have gone ½ mile too far. Turn around.)  After approximately 2.5 miles, drive over a bridge/overpass. A few dozen yards past this bridge is the right turn to Agren Road. Turn right (a hairpin turn) and drive about 1/2 mile.  Across from the red barn on the right side of the road is a large black mailbox on the left, marked Cloud Mountain.

From Portland: Go North on I-5 about 50 miles.  At exit 48 (Castle Rock business loop) take the off ramp.  At bottom of ramp turn left.  Travel approx. one mile to 25mph zone.  Go about 5 blocks through school zone to stop sign (3 way stop).  Turn left.  Go 5 blocks through the town and cross the bridge over the Cowlitz river.  Go another (about) 5 blocks to the next stop sign (4 way stop.) Turn right.  You will pass the Castle Rock High School on your right and keep on going for another 7 miles.  The rail road tracks will appear on the right side of the road about one-half mile before the turn.  Watch for a road sign that indicates a left turn on to Agren Road.  Turn left onto Agren road.  Travel up the road for one-quarter mile and you will see our big black mail box on the left.  It says Cloud Mountain Retreat Center in white letters on the side along the numbers 373.  There is a red barn on the right side of the road.  Turn left into the long driveway and proceed to the parking lot.
